How much will dog grooming cost?
Fill in the size and breed of your dog to reveal the price. The size should be in comparison to the breed. Is your dog one of those super special mixed breeds? Just enter in a comparable to get an idea of the price. Groomers reserve the right to adjust pricing based on the dog's needs.
Dog Grooming at On Command
On Command strives for quality over quantity and our groomers are always patient and thorough. The service requested and/or technicality of the groom will determine the length of your grooming appointment. The price will also vary for the same reason. For your convenience, both time and price will be discussed with you at drop off. At On Command, the top quality of care for your pet is our priority, therefore, grooming dogs will get walked throughout the day and access to a comfortable space during their stay. As an added bonus, if your dog is with us for a groom and also does daycare, they can hang out and play all day, then get their groom just before you pick up. That way your dog has their share of playing, but goes home smelling and looking great. This is a great option for working parents or occasions when your dog needs to stay all day.
Please feel free to take a tour of our facility and meet our staff. Saturdays are great opportunities to chat with a groomer and discuss the above services. We are open 7 days a week and always welcome you and your dog for a visit at your convenience.
Bath, Brush, Nails
Just as it sounds, your dog will receive a bath, their anal glands expressed (if necessary), their nails trimmed, and their coats brushed out. Many dog coats won’t ever require a full service groom, but the bath is a great way to keep the hair healthy, free of matting, and smelling fresh. Our bathing room is equipped with the HydroSurge® system that pumps the shampoo and conditioner right into the water nozzle, providing a massage-like experience for the dog. This system also helps clean the hair/fur from the skin out and prevent itching or irritation.
Tidy-Ups are more loosely scheduled with a groomer as they require the experience and expertise with grooming tools. During this service your dog receives a bath, their anal glands expressed (if necessary), their nails trimmed, and their coats brushed out. Examples of a tidy-up would be; trimming the long hair around the dog’s toes and feet, trimming the hair along the dog’s muzzle, chin, and eyes, or any unique style of trimming one might desire. Tidy-ups are also convenient ways to keep your dog’s coat well maintained in between full grooms. Having just a “sanitary clean-up” can also be considered a tidy-up.
Full Service Groom
Our full service grooms must be placed onto one of our groomer’s schedules. During this service your dog receives a bath, their anal glands expressed (if necessary), their nails trimmed, and their coats brushed out. You will consult with your groomer and decide on the type of cut or look you’re interested in for your dog. If you have a picture of a similar dog or cut that you would like, please share that with the groomer. Our experienced groomers are very versatile and can provide anything from breed standard cuts, to summer cuts, to personalized styles. A full groom will also include a “sanitary clean-up,” meaning that their personal places will get thoroughly cleaned along with trimming or shaving the hair to keep it clear.
As a walk in service, you are welcome to swing by and have just your dog’s nails trimmed. Nail maintenance is very important because if the nails grown too long, it can become painful for your dog to walk and stand. Some dogs are very sensitive when it comes to touching their paws, so the experience of a groomers touch can help make the process less stressful for the dog. This service can always be added on to a day of daycare or a boarding reservation.
