Dog Training at On Command

Man and dog have been friends and companions forever. The behavior of your dog is the most important factor in determining how much you will enjoy your pet. Dogs, descending from pack animals, learn first from their mother, then their litter-mates and finally their behavior is established by their interactions with the adult members of the pack (you!). Our training and behavior modification techniques using this natural method of communication will strengthen the bond between you and your dog, enhancing a lasting and loving relationship. Dogs respond to a kind yet firm approach, therefore our training is accomplished through voice and praise, along with proper firm corrections. We are proud of the successes of our students and invite you to observe our training classes at anytime.

Behavior Modification

It is no secret that dogs provide a level of unconditional love that cannot be measured and strive for 100% of our attention as owners. We do our best to raise our dogs like our own children and as true members of our family. But there is a lot that goes into puppy raising and things can be tough. Even more confusing can be the range of advice one would find when researching the topics of house-training, grooming care, methods of dog training, and so on. Often times dogs will develop bad habits like jumping, digging, barking, etc., all of which can be addressed through a proper training program. Through experience, implementing a set of rules and boundaries for your dog can help in many ways. Not only is your dog happier with this direction, but they learn how to please you and earn the praise they love so much. In return, your dog gets to go more places and do more things because they’re no longer a hassle or embarrassing in public. We offer different In Residency On Leash training programs to accommodate your budget and the needs of your dog.

Dog Training Alumni Benefits

All dogs that have completed their training course qualify for a $25 refresher training during their boarding or daycare stay at On Command. When you drop off your dog, just let us know you would like us to give your dog a refresher course!

I am a certified dog trainer through National K-9 School of Dog Trainers, registration #1092-441. I have successfully completed all requirements for master trainer, advanced obedience, attack, & basic police K-9. I also do search and scent tracking, I have successfully trained people on how to train their dogs and puppies for over 30 years, I offer reliable dog training, behavior modification and problem solving for your dog. I also train dogs of all breeds & of all ages, I believe that all dogs can be trained and become a great part of anyone's family. I currently offer private and small group sessions at our facility. I'm looking forward to training with you and your dog.​

A ​non-refundable and non-transferable deposit will be required ​for booking our boarding services.
Must be current on vaccinations, including DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies Vaccines. We only accept vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian.
We will accept titers for the Distemper/Parvo vaccines on old dogs and 1 year Bordetella vaccines for any age.
We require a record of full vaccinations to be on file prior to booking any of our services.
Daycare Evaluation is $65 per owner. If Daycare services are not used for 6 consecutive months or longer, a reevaluation at $65 will be required.
Reservation requests cannot be made until vaccines are verified by staff.
